I would like to play music before class in Collaborate.  The free Weebly site (using web tour) works but only for up to 10 MB, or 3 or 4 songs.  The paid version allows longer files but simply does not work in web tour.  Also, playlist no long lets you make your own play list to embed.  I've tried a media upload but one problem with that is that students have to upload it as they log on, so everyone is listening to different songs ...not the worst thing in the world, but not what I want.  This has been a vexing problem and I'd be happy to hear any suggestions.  Thanks!

My solution is quite dumb, but does not require any webservices.

I have a small external MP3 player connected to the Line-Input of my sound circuit Just a change in the audio input setting to switch over to my microphone. There are 2 issues with this:

  1. Sound quality. Collaborate uses a low bandwidth codec optimized for speech only.
  2. Forget to switch :-)
My workaround is to have a second machine running as participant to monitor how it prforms at the student side
Using this, I need to steps: Switch off my monitors loudspeaker, then switch my input on the host machine.

Furthere ideas ?
