DESIGNING LESSON PLANS IN DIFFERENT CURRICULAR AREAS TO SET INTERNATIONAL OUTCOMES

Creating collaborative classroom joint projects with different countries. I am the principal of Jules Verne School in Mexico City, and I have been working with web 2.0 tools to enhance learning with my teachers and students.

I hold a cultural exchange with elementary schools in Canada for 6 years, and have been developing different ways of working together to develop different curricular areas as Language Arts, Science, Social Studies, and Fine Arts.

I believe that in each country our children are the same at the same ages, but they will learn face to face by blogging or skyping and collaborating through webinars leading different topics and gathering opinions around the globe about their own culture, environment, society, politics, and language.

Knowledge will be motivating and also human values such as respect and self esteem.

We may propose a topic and a lesson plan that fits each country curriculum and we may adjust this lesson plan, setting desired outcomes, and evaluation rubrics so we all let our children know they are learning together.
