With a free Blackboard Collaborate room, I would look for ways to use it throughout the school year in my new central administrative position in a public school district and report back about experiences that made a difference as well as what may not have worked as anticipated and why. I've already held department meetings via Elluminate for my previous job in another school district and helped others to experience constructive collaboration. It increases productivity, eliminates the need for travel (saving time and travel expenses) and streamlines interactions. This kind of enhanced efficiency of meetings and workshops in any educational setting has a ripple effect of high value. If so fortunate to be selected, I would be able to share the room with
another applicant.
