- I am joining the network as I am involved in managing the use of Collaborate 12 across the full University of Salford (UK). I started my roll here at the University 9 years ago and was responsible for the use of web conferencing technologies in the School of the Built Environment, the only school in the University at that time working with these types of technologies. We started using the Wimba Live Classroom, then Elluminate Live and now Blackboard Collaborate. I have been involved in the growth of the product's use from small pockets around the University to now University wide. Sharing with other administrators and moderators is the best way to find out real life problems, ideas and best practise.

My role now has an emphasis on staff development for our associate lecturers and a remit to research other online collaborative tools. These forums seem less active than they were so I rarely drop in nowadays but would it be good to hear more of your transition from Wimba to Collaborate sometime. atb Graham
