Saadet Roach said… TEACHERS...
There are two kinds of teachers:
1) Ones who wanted to be
2) Victims of Destiny
If you are in group "1", good for you. I applaud you.
If you are in group "2" two things happen:
1) You try it none the less. You mimic, imitate, students see it. You fail. You hated it anyway. You give up. And you are a sour teacher until retirement.
OR
2) You try it. You convince yourself. You observe. You imitate. Doesn't work. You try. Takes approximately 3 years. But starts working. Students write you little notes. "Thank you." notes, "Get well" notes, "Happy Teachers' Day" notes. You enjoy the attention mixed with admiration, love and respect.
The 10.000 hour rule is too long for me: Most people get really, really good at something after 10,000 hours. That’s about 3 hours a day for 10 years.
